Processing Assistant – Accounts Payable and Travel (x2 positions)

We have an excellent opportunity for two Processing Assistants – Accounts Payable and Travel, to work within the Finance & Management Information Section of the Corporate Business Directorate of the Commonwealth Secretariat.

The Finance and Management Information Section (FMIS) forms part of the Corporate Business Directorate, which has responsibility for a wide range of corporate services in the Commonwealth Secretariat.

The successful candidates will primarily be responsible for processing travel-related documents and activities however may at times be required to support other activities within the finance team, including accounts payable processing activities, in accordance with the Secretariat’s policies and procedures.  The post holder is required to support the Travel Manager in providing travel services to the Secretariat and in achieving the team’s objectives and goals. 

To be considered, you will need to have 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including English and Maths, be AAT part qualified or ACCA part qualified, and have a book-keeping or accountancy qualification. You will also need at least 3 years’ book-keeping or accounts payable experience, and good IT, interpersonal and communication skills. You will be an experienced user of Microsoft Office products and other computerised accounting packages and electronic banking. A knowledge or experience of reviewing and processing travel expenses is preferable.
