DEPARTMENT: CRIMINAL
Job Title: Process Server (5)
Station: Maseru, Leribe & Mohale’s Hoek
Responsible to: Assistant Executive Officer
JOB SUMMARY
To officially deliver various legal documents to the involved legal practitioners, departments, and courts of law. The incumbent will also deliver summons and subpoenas to the police stations for service, ensuring that they are notified and can respond accordingly.
MAIN DUTIES
- Delivers legal documents to a variety of clients, on behalf of the DPP, within the specified timeframe by law.
- Verifies the identity of the person who is served.
- Keeps track of the details of the service of process.
- Provides an affidavit of service/proof of service.
- Complies with all legal procedures.

JOB SPECIFICATION
Education and Training
- COSC/GCE/LGCSE plus a pass in English Language.
Work Experience
- Two (2) years’ working experience as a Messenger in the Office of the DPP or any Courts of Law.
