Your responsibility will include assisting the Executive Head: Mpesa to monitor and influence financial services policy and regulation through engagement with stakeholders and preparation of submissions, while also building and ensuring compliance with financial services laws
You will Be Responsible For
Coordinate efforts associated with the preparation of regulatory documents or submissions and lead in the preparation thereof.
Lead in negotiations with regulatory bodies.
Maintain an effective MFS regulatory risk management system and liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where regulatory risks have been identified, appropriate controls are implemented
Monitor and develop deep knowledge of regulatory issues and advise business on and implement internal policies necessary to address such regulatory issues
Manage relationships with relevant stakeholders, especially industry regulators to ensure the existence of healthy working relations with such stakeholders.
Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies to proactively manage regulatory risk
Provide support and advise on projects to ensure such projects comply with regulatory requirements
Implement training and awareness initiatives to build capacity and awareness on regulatory requirements
It Would Be Nice if You have
Bachelor of Laws (Master’s degree will be an added advantage)
3 Years’ experience in a regulatory role preferably in the Banking/ Insurance sectors
5 years’ experience in managerial role
