RESPONSIBLE TO: Chief Investigation Officer

JOB SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Chief Investigation Officer, the Incumbent is responsible for carrying out investigation, maintaining and safekeeping of suspects’ files and exhibits and attendance of Courts of Law to give evidence.

MAIN DUTIES

  1. Handle and mobilize informants
  2. Investigate reported cases of corruption
  3. Executes Directorate operations as directed by the Chief Investigation Officer
  4. Prepare report and witness’ statement, providing evidence of fact and opinion  
  5. Attends Court of Law to give evidence.
  6. Maintains and keep suspects’ files and exhibits
  7. Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the Chief Investigation Officer

EDUCATION TRAINING

  • B.Com (Accounting), Social Sciences Degree or equivalent and 3 years’ experience in any of the following fields: Taxation, Auditing, Financial Investigation (White Collar Crime).
  • BSc in Computer Science/ BSc majoring with mathematics and three years exposure in analysis of numerical data.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and high personal integrity
  • Methodical and disciplined in approach to work
  • Proficiency in writing in Sotho and English
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight schedule
  • Computer Literacy Skills

  • Applications should be directed or hand delivered to the office of the registry, at the Directorate on Corruption Economic Offenses (DCEO), Former British High Commissioner’s Building, P.O. Box 16060, (opposite National Manpower Development Secretariat (NMDS), Maseru) before or on 07th April 2023, before 13:00 pm.
