Principal Engineer (Civils) – Lesotho

The purpose of this position, not limited to:
To provide recommendations for approval, monitoring, advice and oversight over all engineering projects and contractual matters and social development projects of a technical nature in both the LHWC (Lesotho Highlands Water Commission) and LHDA (Lesotho Highlands Development Authority) with specific reference to the design and construction and Operation and Maintenance of the 38km long, 5.2m diameter Polihali Tunnel performed by the LHDA. Tunnel cost will be approximately R 5.2 Billion.

6. OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum: MSc (Civil Engineering) specialising in Project Management
Registered as Professional Engineer with ECSA or similar entity
10-12 years’ experience covering: Design engineer, Supervision of Construction, Experience of project management on large civil engineering projects in a multi-disciplinary environment. Experience of geotechnical matters, tunnel design and construction.
At least 2 years people management experience.
