JOB SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of Chief Corruption Prevention Officer the incumbent is responsible for implementing programs for the prevention of corruption both in public and private sector institutions thereby promoting zero tolerance attitude towards corruption.

MAIN DUTIES

  1. PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION IN THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS
  2. Examine the operational systems of public and private institutions to identify gaps or weaknesses conducive to corruption and initiate proposals for changes in the procedures and processes to eliminate opportunities for corrupt practices.
  3. Provide both formal and ad hoc advisory services to public institutions, parastatals and private sectors; on general anti-corruption prevention strategies
  4. Review criminal investigation records to identify arrears of priority, for the prevention corruption in the public and private institutions
  5. Arrange and conduct workshops and seminars for stakeholders to enhance implementation of anti-corruption strategies tailored to suit the needs of the organization
  • MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF EFFECTIVENESS OF STRATEGIES
  • Monitor and evaluate corruption prevention strategies within both private and public sectors
  • Establish working relations with various civil society groups including religious bodies, non-governmental organizations and media fraternity
  • Simulate local action through promotional activities such as roadshows, mass media campaigns for the prevention of corruption
  • Perform any other relevant duties as may be require from time to time

EDUCATION TRAINING

University degree in social sciences, B. Commerce, Accounting or equivalent with at least 3 years’ experience in related fields.

OTHER RELEVANT SKILLS

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and high personal integrity
  • Integrity is prerequisite requirement
  • Computer literacy will be an added advantage
  • Methodical and disciplined in approach to work
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
  • The incumbent must be prepared to travel extensively both within and outside the country when necessary

Box 16060, (opposite National Manpower Development Secretariat (NMDS), Maseru) before or on 07th April 2023, before 13:00 pm.
