Primary School Teacher
Qualifications
- Diploma in Education Primary / Diploma in Primary Education
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of Sign Language
- Knowledge of Computer Studies
- Computer literate (at least Microsoft Office)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teaching and student support
- Demonstrate appropriate and effective teaching methodologies
- Prepare quality lessons for learners
- Plan, coordinate, control, administer, evaluate and report on learners’ academic progress
- Develop suitable teaching and learning materials
- Apply clear teaching and learning strategies suitable for the learners’ age groups
- Promote acceptable behaviour and conduct among learners
- Maintain class attendance registers and other learner records as required by school regulations
- Meet with parents to discuss the behaviour and performance of their children
