1. Background
The Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Lesotho Integrated Transport Trade & Logistics Project (LITTL) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Upgrading to Bitumen Standard of the Thaba-Tseka to Katse Road Project in the Thaba-Tseka District.
2. Objective
The Ministry of Public Works and Transport – Roads Directorate intends to prequalify contractors for the upgrading of approximately 55 kilometers of road to bitumen standard. The Request for Bids (RFB) is expected to be issued in January 2026.
3. Prequalification Process
Prequalification will be conducted in accordance with the procedures specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (September 2023) and is open to all eligible applicants as defined in the regulations.

5. Submission Instructions
Applications must be submitted in clearly marked envelopes:

- Deadline: 13 November 2025 at 10:00 hrs (local time)
- Opening: Same day at 10:30 hrs (local time)
