We are pleased to announce that the IPPF Africa Regional Office is accepting proposals from students in your partner universities that will be supported to conduct their postgraduate research under the Fred Sai Institute (FSl)

We are pleased to announce that the IPPF Africa Regional Office is accepting proposals from students in your partner universities that will be supported to conduct their postgraduate research under the Fred Sai Institute (FSl)

Objectives:

Through the FSI we aim to strengthen the ability of participants (post graduate students) to generate new knowledge and ideas in the area of sexual and reproductive health and population related themes.

Support needy students to achieve their academic goals

The students must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for this sponsorship:

• Needy students with high performance in school (disadvantaged background – universities to help in identification of students who fulfil this criterion)

• African students studying and researching in Africa for Master of Public Health (MPH) and other related disciplines

• Topic of study is public health, SRHR and population related themes

• Research must directly benefit  one or more  MAs and  IPPFAR e  Student  must be high achieving/performing (universities to help identify students who meet this criterion)

• Student must be NOT more than 30 years old

• Student should have basic training in research methods

• Uphold the vision, mission and values of IPPF

• Willingness to serve as a volunteer

• Model in their community

We encourage all of you to identify students in your partner universities who meet the attached criteria and send us the research topic they would lil<e to pursue for their post-graduate studies. Kindly, ensure that each selected student completes the attached form The information should reach us no later than 02 August 2019
