purpose
To provide strategic direction for Branch Banking ensuring that the division’s short- and long-term goals are met. To oversee the management of the Branch Banking Division of the Bank and oversight over Branch Banking products, support, and service equipment. And to appoint, mentor and lead a team of people responsible for the day to day management of the branches.
experience and qualifications
- Minimum qualification: Relevant Business degree or banking diploma.
- Minimum years of relevant experience: 10 years’ experience in the Branch Banking environment.
- Experience in dealing with staff, credit, and sales.
responsibilities
- Account opening, and monitoring guide lines provided by the regulations of the Lesotho Financial Institutions Act and South African FICA requirements.
- The Lesotho Money Laundering Act.
- Support the Chief Financial Officer in managing the Banks
- Cash holdings and in meeting the Banks
- liquidity management requirements as stipulated by law and as informed by the Banks
- liquidity risk management strategy.
- Monthly reporting of individual and consolidated branch performance.
- Providing progress reports on Internal, External, and Central Bank audit findings as it impacts on Branch Banking operations.
- Development and implementation of the Branch Banking strategy and annual business plan.
- Supporting the development of other areas of the Bank outside of Branch Banking.
- Providing Branch Banking expertisein major business initiatives and product development.
- Initiating and providing feedback onBranch Banking Human Resources Development initiatives.
- Providing Branch Banking expertiseon asset and liability trend monitoring and strategy development.
- Coordinate the Banks Pricingstrategy as it applies to Branch Banking products.
