Position: Pharmacy Technician
Department: Medical and Pharmaceutical
Reports To: Pharmacist and Branch Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the ordering, receiving, preparation, and dispensing of prescription medications and other medical products, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Ensuring proper storage and safety of all medications is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Order and manage pharmaceutical and medical supplies
- Receive and accurately record incoming inventory
- Pre-pack and label medications for dispensing
- Ensure continuous availability of required drugs
- Educate patients on proper use of medications
- Monitor both prescription and OTC medications
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient records
- Compile and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports
- Carry out other duties as assigned by management or the supervising pharmacist
Requirements
- Diploma in Pharmacy Technology or any pharmacy-related qualification
- Knowledge of dispensing software is an added advantage
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a retail pharmacy setting is preferred
