BEAUTEZ PHARMACY
Pharmacist – Group Inventory & Supply Chain Management
Department: Operations Division – Beautez Pharmacy Group
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer / Operations Director
Key Responsibilities:
- Centralized Inventory Oversight
- Maintain full oversight of inventory levels, stock movement, and reconciliation across all branches
- Enforce FIFO and FEFO principles
- Manage inter-branch transfers and stock adjustments
- Procurement and Supplier Coordination
- Coordinate purchase orders and supplier deliveries
- Negotiate pricing and evaluate supplier performance
- Ensure timely availability of high-demand and critical items
- Stock Planning and Forecasting
- Use sales data and market trends to generate accurate stock forecasts
- Manage reorder levels and replenishment across all branches
- Minimize stock-outs, expiries, and obsolete stock
- Medical Aid Claims Management
- Oversee claim submissions, rejections, reversals, and reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy of coding, pricing, and supporting documentation
- Work with branches to reduce claim errors and optimize recovery
- Script Filling, Analysis and Customer Benefit Optimization
- Standardize script filling procedures across the group
- Analyze prescribing and dispensing patterns
- Optimize patient medical aid benefits while ensuring quality care
- Compliance and Audit
- Ensure compliance with LMDPC requirements and the Public Health Order
- Conduct regular audits and variance checks
- Strengthen internal controls for medicines management and dispensing
- Reporting and Data Analytics
- Produce monthly inventory and financial reports for management
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to stock, wastage and claims
- Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decisions
- Branch Coordination and Leadership
- Support branch pharmacists and operations teams
- Monitor adherence to dispensing, data entry and documentation standards
- Promote best practice sharing across branches
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) and valid LMDPC registration
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in community/retail pharmacy
- Strong understanding of inventory management, medical aid processes and pharmacy operations

Position Overview:
The Pharmacist responsible for Group Inventory and Supply Chain Management holds strategic oversight of stock control, procurement, medical aid claims processes, and customer benefit optimization across all Beautez Pharmacy branches. The role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high-quality pharmaceutical care.
