Job Summary:

The Personal Assistant Bookkeeper is a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited direction and supervision. This position will conduct bookkeeping, prepare Excel spreadsheets, and organize all documentation in preparation of the annual tax filings. This position requires superior organization skills and a strong accounting background to ensure effective outcomes.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain paper and electronic files.
  • Collect, prepare, and conduct data entry for expenses and receipts.
  • Produce and distribute correspondence for emails, memos, letters, faxes, and other forms.
  • Conduct data entry and manage all records in QuickBooks.
  • Maintain contact database.
  • Manage credit card expenses.
  • Book and coordinate schedules on professional calendar.
  • Generate and extract reports regularly.
  • Run errands.
  • Any/all other assigned tasks related to bookkeeping, accounting, and supporting the CEO in an administrative and personal business capacity.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Highly skilled in QuickBooks.
  • Experience dealing with IRS and accounting firms.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Accounting experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Excel experience.
  • Experience managing multiple entities. Charitable trust bookkeeping experience preferred.

Work Environment, Schedule, & Total Rewards:

  • Compensation: $16.00-$22.00 Per Hour.
  • Job Location: WORK FROM HOME and report to CEO’s home office 1-2 times per week
  • Conduct business/personal errands as needed
  • Work schedule: Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm with an unpaid 30 minutes lunch break
  • Paid Time Off: 1st year of employment receives 1 week of PTO. 2nd year of employment receives 2 weeks of PTO. All federally observed holidays (6 total) are Paid Days Off.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 to $22.00 /hour
