Responsibilities (not in order of priority):

  • Act as a coach, trusted advisor, and knowledge expert, and demonstrate sound judgement
  • Develop and drive new initiatives
  • Offer and implement solutions in improving day-to-day operations
  • Regularly review internal wiki, gitlab pages, policies and reference tools to ensure they are relevant, compliant and up-to-date
  • Ensure compliance of GDPR, ISO 9001 and ISO 27001
  • Help to develop strategies that will support the businesses growth
  • Support the engineering team in mentoring and providing support for new and existing hires
  • Employee relations and case management – supporting and advising
  • Project work as assigned e.g. succession management, talent & skills mapping
  • Build strong relationships both internally and externally to the business extending your networking ability

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good English language skills (both written & verbal), French would be an advantage
  • Have a full understanding of salary benchmarking and reward
  • Experience of working in a remote environment
  • CIPD or equivalent qualification
  • Already working at a Partner level within a technical environment (5 + years of HR experience)
  • Knowledge of relevant employment and workplace legislation: knowledge of applicable legislations in Canada, France, US and UK would be a distinct advantage
  • Able to work on their own initiative and ability to make informed decisions
  • Experience with workflow reduction and automation
  • Tech-savvy with a strong understanding of Office suites and HR systems and ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Have intellectual curiosity, bringing valuable insights to the company
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems and issues with resourcefulness and creativity as required
  • Proven planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks
