Pay Clerks
Overview
The Independent Electoral Commission invites applications from suitably qualified Basotho Nationals for the temporary position of Pay Clerks to support the intensification of voter registration.
Job Description
Under the supervision of the District Electoral Officer (DEO), the Pay Clerk shall:
• Receive and compile names of temporary staff for payment
• Check and correct mistakes appearing in the lists (e.g. spelling, banking details, area or places in the Registration/Display Centres)
• Capture names and ensure they match according to places of deployment (Constituencies, Electoral Divisions, etc.)
• Assist the District Electoral Officer in following up on queries and omissions for temporary staff payments
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Senior District Electoral Officer related to electoral activities
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum COSC or equivalent, with a pass in Accounting or Mathematics
Applicant Requirements
• Must be computer literate
• Must be registered as an elector
• Must be residing in the district they wish to work in
• Must have a registered mobile account and phone number or a valid bank account
