Shout-It-Now (S-N) is a non-profit company, registered in South Africa, that has been active for 12 years providing a range of innovative community-based health services aimed at improving HIV prevention and care to achieve epidemic control among high risk South Africans. S-N currently conducts programmes in HIV testing, PrEP mobilisation/initiation and ongoing support, facilitation of evidence-based behavioural interventions, and support for victims of gender-based violence. We also have experience in delivering TB screening, community-based chronic health screening and initiation of ART. We currently operate in Gauteng and North West provinces with headquarters in Cape Town.

Shout-It-Now is part of a large ecosystem of health service providers comprised of government and NGO entities as well as community stakeholders not necessarily health-focused but crucial to our success. As a PEPFAR-supported partner, Shout-It-Now is mandated to align our services with the goals, objectives, and policies of the South African government, and to collaborate with other stakeholders to maximize the impact of our work. To ensure that Shout-It-Now remains a valued and successful partner in the fight against HIV, the Partnerships Department is tasked with establishing and maintaining productive, mutually beneficial relationships with PEPFAR and their supported partners, the South African Department of Health (at provincial, district and sub-district levels) and other NGOs and community stakeholders.

Shout-It-Now seeks to appoint a Partnership Coordinators to be based in North West and Gauteng .

The Gauteng Partnership Coordinator will report to the National Partnership Manager and the North West Partnership Coordinator will report to the North West Partnership Manager. Partnership Coordinators will work individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team with funders, partners, and key stakeholders at operational levels. The successful candidate will implement Gauteng or North West partnerships plans, liaise with HAST and sub-district coordinators, and develop and maintain CBO partnerships. Partnership Coordinators are also required to liaise with Community Media Trust (Shout-It-Now’s partner in the delivery of behavioural interventions), and S-N’s operations staff.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:
Partnership Management

Implements short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures for Shout-it-Now’s government and CBO relations support function.
Serves as liaison between S-N and CMT to ensure effective bi-directional referrals between behavioural programs and other prevention programs
Collaborates with other CBO partners to ensure Shout-It-Now remains an effective and valued partner.
Maintains effective communications with assigned Government and CBO partners as well as with Shout-It-Now leadership to provide effective support services.
Identifies conflicting goals between external actors (government and community partners) and internal actors (Shout-It-Now staff and leadership) and works with Partnership Manager to resolve problems.
Works with HAST and sub-district coordinators, develops and maintains CBO partnerships
Seeks out and reports on opportunities for collaboration with community activities, e.g. campaigns, imbizo’s etc. that can assist S-N in meeting its targets and serving the needs of clients.
Develops recommendations and materials in support of Shout-it-Now’s partner relations activities.

Site Relationship Management:

Needs to secure special sites, example Prisons etc.
Performs any other operational negotiations that are required
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Attends required meetings on behalf of the organization

Qualifications and Experience

Tertiary qualification is advantageous
Previous field experience with PEPFAR and/or the South African Department of Health is preferred but similar relationship management experience in any industry in corporate or the NGO sectors accepted
Microsoft Office suite

Own transport with a valid driver’s license is essential
