VACANCY: Part-Time Nurse
Job Title: Part-Time Nurse
Reports To: Registrar
Responsible For: Management of primary health care issues for students and staff

Purpose of the Job:
To assess and identify patients’ needs, then implement and monitor the treatment plan. Ensure that patient care is conducted according to medical policies and standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement the clinical aspects of the clinic
- Provide primary health care to students and CAS staff
- Dispense appropriate drugs/medication to clients
- Refer complicated cases to a nearby health facility/doctor
- Maintain records of drugs and equipment used in the clinic
- Provide counselling to clients
- Submit clinic activity reports (monthly, bi-annually, and annually)
- Develop and implement clinic plans and budgets
- Facilitate the purchase of clinic medication and equipment
- Support any CAS activities/projects
- Conduct basic health education, talks, and counselling on primary health care
Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum of a Diploma in Nursing
• At least 20 years’ working experience
• Registered with the Lesotho Nursing Council
• Clinical knowledge in HIV/AIDS and STIs will be an added advantage

• Knowledge and commitment to sexual and reproductive health
• High professional and nursing ethical standards
• Thorough knowledge of counselling
