The purpose of this part-time (day-shift) position is to cover various modules within the Commerce and Law Faculty. The incumbent must have experience within the following areas specifically: Academic English and Business English.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Facilitation of learning, lecturing, tutoring, assessments and research.

+ Setting and marking of assessments.

+ Preparation of notes and additional study materials.

+ Quality assurance of learning material.

+ General academic administration.

+ Manage at-risk students.

+ Participate in professional development opportunities.

+ Contribute and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies, including technology enhanced learning methodologies.

+ Participate in research activities and activities and projects to keep abreast of newest developments in trends in subject fields.

Core competencies:
+ Working knowledge and skill on Microsoft Office and Google suite.

+ Administrative skills and experience.

+ Organizing, planning as well as problem solving skills.

+ The incumbent must pay significant attention to detail and adhere to deadlines.

+ Analytical ability.

+ Interpersonal skills and communication skills.

+ The candidate must display patience, approachability, assertion and composure at all times.

+ The candidate must place the student(s) at the centre of everything they do (customer-centric approach).

+ Presentation skills will be an advantage.

Experience:
+ Relevant lecturing experience in Academic or Business English, preferably in the Commerce and Law arena.

+ Necessary knowledge of higher education practices and processes.

**Qualifications**

Bachelors in Linguistics and Languages (English) or other subject related qualification.
