1. Quotes

  • All quotes attended to within 2 hours of receipt. Acknowledgement of receipt and follow through.
  • Quotes filled and followed through on weekly basis.

2. Sales

  • Responsible for growth on 3rd party parts sales Nationality
  • Report on client base and client activity Nationally
  • Responsible for driving and executing of the parts sales strategy: Transport / Industrial
  • Active selling of parts: Regular contact with clients and marketing of parts
  • Growth of sales through technical knowledge and client support
  • Assisting branches with technical support and preparation of templates to be used
  • Active selling of “dead stock” items
  • Identification of new parts to be added to stock to assist in parts sales growth
  • Pro-active feedback to Client on order status
  • “Technical” support to internal and external clients
  • Maintenance of Technical manuals on product range to support customer service
  • Maintenance of Client details on ERP (Axapta) system: eg. discount structure, contact details

3. Stock Control

  • All parts issued before it leaves the store and signed for by individual
  • All delivery note books cleared before 10am during the week and by 12 after a weekend
  • Parts IBT’ed and ordered for jobs to be booked out immediately
  • Backorder file to be scrutinized and cancelled where needed. Parts to be issued to jobs
  • Parts issued as soon as need have been identified

4. Stock Levels

  • Weekly maintenance of stock levels. Driving correctness of stock system
  • Maintenance of item master file to improve stock description & ensuring correct product group
  • Responsible for adjustment of indent proposal and Master Planning System to ensure improved service levels
  • Responsible to reduce stock level and improve service levels
  • Liaising with internal and external clients to set correct minimum levels
  • Assist in developing parts coverage for new units
  • Approving orders for new stock items
  • Ongoing maintenance of stock system

5. Indent Administration

  • Scrutinize Indent report
  • Adjustment to proposed indent report: planned orders & feedback from clients / projects / quality issues
  • Planning system maintenance

6. Logistics & Control

  • Assist with Stores procedures as backup
  • Operational backup for warehouse to accommodate spikes in workload
  • Place P/O for local buyouts

7. Product Group / Brand support: Go To person

  • Liaison with workshops: Technical & requirements
  • Liaison with supplier
  • Min levels and stock planning
  • ERP system maintenance: Item Master detail
  • PO creation
  • Assist with Quote request to all branches: On selling, check if complete, correct part numbers and quantities, superseded part numbers
  • Support Documentation / Files on PG
  • Key Parts per PG and Model: Easy reference guide

8. Debtors Control

  • Cash sales management: Stock only to be supplied on proof of payment and or cash received
    • Handover and control of cash payments: Finance to sign for receipts
  • Assist with overdue debtor accounts collection
  • Possess a Senior School Diploma: Grade 12
  • Be conversant with MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Be technically orientated with the capability to learn about product range
  • Be comfortable dealing with all levels of clients
  • Be fluent in both English and Afrikaans
  • Be assertive, a self-starter, a self-motivator and able to operate without regular supervision
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in a sales position and must have a technical aptitude
