Job Purpose
You will contribute to this by ensuring that the the Legal Department functions as a source of competitive advantage in proactively supporting the business and actively managing risk.
Key Accountabilities
In line with the job purpose, key accountabilities will entail the following:
Review and assess marketing communications, advertising materials and packaging of Mondelez products sold in Southern Africa
Draft template legal documents
Provide litigation support by liaising with outside counsel, providing regular updates of litigation reports
Monitor compliance with Outside Counsel Guidelines and other Legal Department policies and procedures
Draft and review agreements e.g services agreements, tenancy agreements etc.
Provide company secretarial support including draft minutes, board resolutions, agendas etc.
Assist in the budgeting and billing process for the Legal Department
Support in liaison between business and Mondelez IP Department for trademarks and IP related issues
Act as administrator to the Legal Department
Maintain high standards of record keeping and archives
Ability to research
Qualifications and experience
In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that the ideal candidate will have:
Paralegal certification or law degree
Fluent in English
Minimum 3 years experience in a law firm and/or inhouse legal department
