Job Title: Packing Supervisor
Reports To (Job Title) : Production Manager
Number of Direct Reports : Assistants, Operators and Trimmers
1. JOB SUMMARY
Assist the Assistant Production Managers with production activities. Supervises Packaging processes.
2. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1. To oversee the following:
2.1.1. Hands on instruction execution and machine operation of all production operators.
2.1.2.Ensure that all team members have the correct PPE, as governed by the respective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
2.1.3.Verification of the Batch Packing Records (BPRS) before Management Review.
2.1.4.Coordinating and supervising the packaging of all final product.
2.2. Ensures that:
2.2.1.A safe and clean environment is maintained at all times while abiding by current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines.
2.2.2. All production documentation is completed according to the relevant SOPs and BPRs.
2.2.3. All Packing operations are performed as per SOPs and BPRs
2.2.4. Ensure all documents used have full traceability and data integrity.
2.2.5. All packing pre-requisites are collected on time from their respective storage areas or departments
2.2.6. Resources (personnel) are appropriately managed to allow for a stream-lined packaging operation.
2.2.7. Production targets are met while abiding by regulatory standards and specifications
2.2.8.All personnel operating in packing lines is trained for the task they are performing.
2.2.9.Packing Trends are up to date
2.3. To communicate:
2.3.1. All safety instructions to the team for which they are responsible.
2.3.2.All deviations with the Assistant Production Manager
Note:
Ongoing training stipulated by the Production Management shall be completed. Any other reasonable duty as requested by Management from time to time shall be completed.

5. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS
5.1. Qualifications:
5.1.1.Graduate Degree with at least 6 months experience in Packing or College Qualification with at least 2 years’ experience in Packing as at least a Line Leader.
Note: At times one is required to stand for several hours. This position does require the individual to lift 10-15 kg.
5.2. Skills
