At least one hundred and eighty two (182) Basotho, including four South Africans arrived in the country through different ports of entries from May 22, 2020 to date. This brings the number of Basotho currently in the country from foreign countries to 2779.

These people who were reported to have been screened against Corona Virus (COVID-19) crossed at Maputsoe bridges and Van Rooyens Gate amongst others.

National Emergency Command Centre (NECC) through Security Cluster (SC) and Border Management Cluster (BMC) has also established that in this period, an additional forty eight people (48) also arrived in the country through porous borders.

Therefore, NECC appeals to the nation to liaise with relevant authorities in their communities such as Area Chiefs and Community Councilors so as to ensure that those who are meant to be on quarantine do successfully.

NECC further commends all efforts geared toward enhancing World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines such as observing social distancing, hand sanitising as well as wearing of masks in an attempt to fight COVID-19.
