OPERATOR IN TRAINING – ENERGY (Grade 11)
Sappi Ngodwana Mill is offering a t raining and development program to become a competent Process Controller on the PF Boiler by completing the Phambili Energy Programme.
This role reports to the Shift Superintendent – Energy
The main responsibilities of this job are:
- To operate of PF Boiler, Turbines, Compressors, Demin Plant and auxiliary equipment
- Perform shift handover with utilization of electronic reporting systems
- Create a safe working environment by identifying and managing risks
- Optimise plant performance with maximum uptime
- Ensure key quality parameters are maintained within specification
- Record and ensure priority maintenance notifications are attended to
- Optimise plant status within any constraints (raw materials, and services)
- Ensure corrective action on all non- conformances
- Perform tasks as per production schedules released on SAP
- Execute non-routine activities of shuts, start-ups and stops
- Ensure good housekeeping practices within area of responsibility with objective to achieve 5S status
- Train future incumbent Process Controllers
- Update best operating practice
The ideal candidate should have:
- Matric (Maths & Science) or N3 Pulp and Paper
- 3 Years Energy experience
- Outside Operator licence
- Process Controller Energy License will be advantageous
