The main purpose of the job is to lead the operations based at the Durban Industrial Park. This includes assembly of Trucks in Final assembly as well as Customer adaptation. Be a positive and inspirational leader, develop and grow people and culture.

Job Objective
- To ensure SQCDEP targets are achieved and in line with Plant and Customer adaptation objectives. The headcount in the dept. today consists of 110 staff, with a team structure of 10 Teams/Team leaders and two Production leaders.

To ensure compliance to all legislative acts and pronouncements that are applicable within the assembly/CA environment.

To assume end to end ownership and accountability for all assembly and CA related aspects

To develop a functional and mutually beneficial relationship with organized labour / Union representatives.

Represent the factory & participate actively in the related International manufacturing networks
Education & Job Experience
-
Degree or Diploma in Operations/Production Management or Mechanical Engineering.

Must have 10 years working experience within an Automotive/Manufacturing Environment.
-
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in Senior Leadership or Managerial roles within the automotive industry
