Operations Manager
Location: Shoeshoe Gardens Guesthouse, Katlehong, Maseru
Reports To: General Manager / Executive Management
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Operations Manager is responsible for running the day-to-day activities of the guesthouse, ensuring smooth operations and excellent guest service. The role involves managing staff, controlling costs, supporting marketing and sales, maintaining facilities, and building relationships to grow accommodation, conferencing, dining, and events business.
- Manage daily guesthouse operations.
- Implement service and operational standards.
- Drive marketing and revenue growth initiatives.
- Monitor budgets and analyze financial performance.
- Lead and supervise staff.
- Ensure excellent customer service and facility maintenance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- 3–5 years’ experience in hotel or guesthouse management, with focus on operations and business growth.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality standards and customer service principles.
- Financial management skills, including budgeting and cost control.
- Leadership and team management experience.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality management software.
- Marketing and sales acumen.
- Driver’s license (added advantage).
