Role Description The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Maseru. This role oversees day-to-day operational activities, including production planning, inventory management, and coordination between purchasing, manufacturing, and sales. The Operations Manager monitors workflow, sets and tracks performance metrics, ensures adherence to quality and safety standards, and troubleshoots operational issues as they arise. The role includes managing and mentoring team members, optimizing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs, and preparing regular reports on operational performance for leadership. The Operations Manager also collaborates with management to implement new systems, support strategic initiatives, and maintain clear communication across departments.
Qualifications
- Operations and process management skills, including experience with workflow optimization, production planning, and inventory control.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience supervising teams, providing feedback, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement practical solutions.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Familiarity with clothing or manufacturing operations, supply chain processes, or retail environments is an advantage.
- Proficiency with basic office and operations software (e.g., spreadsheets, inventory or ERP systems).
- Relevant diploma or degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
