JOB INTRODUCTION:
G4S Secure Solutions (Lesotho), a leading provider of integrated security management solutions, has a vacancy for an Operations Manager based at our operations in Lesotho
The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which an Operations Manager plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:
Effective management of the Operations financial performance
- Initiate cost saving model and controls
- Manage the Operational Area cash flow
Effective management of staff within region
- Effective Organisation
- Development of staff
- Leadership
Effective management of operations
Client retention and customer service levels
Quality Management/Ops Process management – adherence to quality standard, i.e Site Files, Risk Assessments, Site Standard
- QA audit results and operational matrix to ensure that operational minimum standards/requirements are met
- Ensure that QA Audits are conducted on all sites and Corrective Action Implemented
Shared Best Practice
- Specific examples of implementation of BP from other regions
Ops Process management – adherence to quality standard
- Ensure that Operational Compliance is adhered to at all times e.g Site Surveys, Site Requirements, Site Equipment, Site Audits
Effective management of business development function
- New business development
Identifying new business opportunities in the region’s sphere of operations, as well as in terms of growth of business with existing customers, driven by the promotion of integrated security solutions.
- Competitors evaluations
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the competitor environment faced by the business.
Managing and shaping the external environment
- Involvement in community and business forums and general public profile
- Development of sales strategy specific to the country, through analysis of the unit’s business profile, products and services available / required, existing customer base, resources and competitors.
- Identification of potential new business opportunities through consultation and cooperation with Sales management, planned prospecting, leads, cold calling, tender notices.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Qualification and Experience
- COSC or equivalent
- Driver’s Licence
- Security Management Qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in security management
