The St Joseph’s Home is a paediatric intermediate healthcare facility providing holistic medical and rehabilitation care for children with life threatening and life limiting conditions. The Home was established by the Pallottine Missionary Sisters and is run according to a Christian/Catholic ethos. The current staff complement is approx. 130, the majority of whom are nursing and professional therapy staff with HR, Operations and Fund development as support service.

St. Joseph’s Home (SJH) is seeking a digital fundraiser with high energy, a collaborative approach and who has an interest in and love for children, a commitment to working in the non-profit space – and a passion for making a difference.

Report to: Resource development manager

Requirements:
Diploma in Marketing, PR or Communications
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in fundraising and developing and implementing a marketing and communications strategy
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in digital marketing and digital fundraising
A proven track record of delivering on income targets
An understanding of local and international donors, the NGO sector and fundraising trends (including digital fundraising)
Good experience of email service providers, CRM and website content management tools
Competencies and Abilities:
Self-motivating, proactive and a drive for success
Set the precedent for excellence through leading by example
An excellent understanding of how digital marketing and fundraising channels complement each other
Good analytical skills
Excellent written English and copywriting skills
Responsibilities:
Oversee the development and implementation of an organisational fundraising strategythat includes a diverse range of income streams, including but not limited to
bequests, individuals, internal and external events, cause related marketing, digital fundraising, and community fundraising
Develop online fundraising appeals, including crowdfunding and peer-to peer campaigns and evaluate their success
Research funding opportunities that are aligned to SJH’s mission, vision and objectives
Oversee the development and implementation of the SJH Communications strategy, continually assess communications techniques, and their efficacy
Incorporate digital media strategies to generate income through individual giving, including but not limited to the website, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram
Lead and overseeing the maintenance and full utilisation of the customer relationship management (CRM) system
Assist in special projects as and when required
