Occupational Health and Safety Manager
Matla-a-Metsi JV requires the services of a suitably qualified personnel member to fill the position of Occupational Health and Safety Manager (OHS Manager).
Job Description
The OHS Manager will be responsible for undertaking all OH&S work including but not limited to:
- Health and Safety Manager for the JV
- Supervision and Monitoring of the contractor’s OH&S systems & implementation
- Support to the RE team on OH&S on site
- OH&S Reporting (incl. non-conformance reporting)
- Full time in Lesotho during construction
Qualifications, Working Experience and Knowledge
- Minimum fifteen (15) years’ post-qualification experience in dam and construction works
- At least ten (10) years’ experience in Occupational Health & Safety on civil engineering projects
- Accredited qualification in Civil Engineering or similar technical qualification
- Accredited Occupational Health & Safety qualifications
- Experience in managing and implementing ISO 9000 and OHSA 45001 systems on large civil engineering projects (1500+ people on site)
- Sound knowledge and experience of:
- Client – Engineer – Contractor contractual relationships
- Temporary works designs
- Formwork
- Access scaffolding (SANS 10085-2024)
- Working at heights (IWH standards)
- MS SharePoint
- MS Office (incl. Excel and Word)
- Health and Safety Auditing
- Occupational Hygiene and Food Safety
Remuneration
Salary will be in accordance with the MaM JV scales of remuneration, which are competitive, market-related, and in line with our client contract.
