RELATIONS: Report directly to the Registered Nurse/ Midwife
JOB SUMMARY:
The scope of practice of Nursing Assistant entails the following acts and procedures as part of the nursing regime planned and initiated by a Registered Nurse/Midwife and carried out under direct or indirect supervision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Promote and maintain the health of individuals, families and communities through health education.
– Provide care at all settings.
– Promote nutrition of patient, families and communities.
– Facilitate communication with patients during their care.
– Prepare individuals and groups for execution of diagnostic procedures and therapeutic act by a registered person.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
– Certificate in Nursing Assistant
– 2 years working experience
