Maluti Adventist Hospital (MAH) invites suitably qualified Basotho candidates to apply for the following positions within the Nursing Department.
Nursing Assistant
Department: Nursing
Reports To: Nursing Officer / Registered Nurse Midwife
Employment Type: Full-Time with Benefits
Contract Duration: Five (5) years fixed-term contract
Grade: D
Number of Positions: Five (5)
Job Summary
Perform routine nursing duties under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse Midwife.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Certificate in Nursing Assistant.
- Registered with the Lesotho Nursing Council.
- Ability to follow instructions and report appropriately.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and across departments.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic nursing procedures, including checking vital signs, blood pressure, and weight.
- Provide first aid during emergencies.
- Conduct antenatal and postnatal observations.
- Prepare delivery rooms and patients for delivery.
- Provide health education.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional ethics.
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors.
