Paray School of Nursing seeks to recruit one (1) highly organised and dedicated Nurse Educator to facilitate the education and training of Nursing and Midwifery students. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership, academic excellence, and a passion for nurturing the next generation of nursing professionals.
Position: Nurse Educator
Term: Permanent

Reporting to: Head of Programme
Duties
- Implements the competency-based curriculum in Nursing and Midwifery education.
- Promotes academic, personal and professional growth and development among students and faculty.
- Engages in research and scholarly activities relevant to Nursing and Midwifery practice.
- Participates actively in community engagement initiatives.
- Fosters a supportive learning environment that encourages excellence and innovation.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Midwifery with a minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience involving direct patient care.
- Registered Nurse Midwife with a valid practising licence.
- Nurse Education/Health Sciences Education qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum of three (3) years of active practice as a Nurse-Midwife, preferably in the Medical and Surgical Units, Maternal Care Units and Specialty Units such as operating theatre, PACU, intensive care, among others.
- Prior experience in teaching, simulation, or clinical supervision will be an added advantage.
- The candidate will facilitate modules that entail core midwifery courses, including but not limited to Antenatal Care, Intrapartum Care, Neonatal Care, Postnatal Care and Core Nursing modules, among others.
Other Requirements
- Computer literacy and familiarity with educational technology.
- Strong analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required by the academic schedule.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with students, faculty and hospital staff.
- Maturity, decisiveness and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of Higher Education Quality Assurance processes in Lesotho is desirable.
