Post: Nurse Educator
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Nurse Educator at Maluti Adventist College (MAC) under the direct supervision of the Head of Nursing Programme.
The Nurse Educator shall be responsible for both classroom and clinical teaching, learner assessment, student counselling, and maintenance of academic records. He or she shall be responsible for meeting all the strategic goals of MAC and the Seventh‑day Adventist (SDA) church service standards. The Nurse Educator shall facilitate and manage the delivery of quality nursing education in compliance with local and national laws, standards, as well as SDA regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities are to promote the academic and professional growth of learners by:
- Training learners to develop skills that will enable them to practise intelligently and reflectively in a changing healthcare system
- Participating in the development, implementation, and review of the nursing curriculum
- Facilitating learning through work‑integrated learning in the clinical practice setting
- Carrying out teaching and learning using innovative teaching and learning resources and strategies
- Maintaining academic records and compiling course files

Educational Qualifications / Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing Science
- Postgraduate specialty qualification in Clinical Nursing Science
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with learners in a clinical setting
- High proficiency in relevant computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Artificial Intelligence tools
Licence and Certification Requirements
- Must be registered with the Lesotho Nursing Council
- Must hold a valid practising licence as a nurse in Lesotho
- Must be a member of a recognised professional nursing association in Lesotho
Added Advantages
- Conversant with the use of any Learning Management System (LMS)
- Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Education
