Vodacom, UNDP and NUL joined forces to support Lesotho’s brilliant coding contest.
There will be six categories in which to contest and each group/individual can contest only in one category, and each category will have one problem to be solved.
A winning group/individual in each category gets M50, 000 as a prize money. The winners are then expected to bring their concepts into real-world solutions for the three institutions over a period of six months. Free data and free mentorship will be provided over the six months.
Date of the contest: Midday of the 18th January 2020 to Midday of the 19th January 2020.
Vanue: NUL, Roma.
This will be a 24 hour coding marathon (hackathon) where computer gurus and thinkers from other disciplines in Lesotho and South Africa’s higher education institutions will battle it out, solving the most interesting problems of our time.
Students and graduates from NUL, Limkwokwin, Lerotholi, Botho etc, and South African Universities are invited to apply.
Competing teams must have a maximum of 5 competitors and a minimum of 1 competitor.
Each team must have at least one person with a knowledge of coding. Awards will be given to winners at the NULSTICE 2020 Gala Dinner at Avani Maseru.
