NUL students can now visit these 20 websites free of charge

The National University of Lesotho has contracted Econet Telecom Lesotho (ETL) to offer a service solution that will allow all registered NUL students and servicing staff members to access teaching and learning materials free of charge from the selected online educational portals using their devices.

All students and staff who make use of ETL to access specific URLs will be zero rated. Google-related websites and social media sites have not been approved by ETL.

This initiative means that subscribers will not be charged when they visit these specific

In order to access the zero-rated websites, note the following:

  1. Zero-rating is operational with an ETL SIM card, not Wi-Fi.
  2. Only approved sites as per the list above are accessible at no charge.
  3. Mobile data must be turned on at all times, otherwise switching it off is the same as cutting off access to the website servers.
  4. As a precaution when accessing zero-rated websites, close all tabs and applications of websites not in the list, as those will consume your data.
