THE SCHOLARSHIP NOTICE
APPLICATIONS FOR NMDS BURSARY TO STUDY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BOTSWANA FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2025/2026
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the Government of Lesotho bursary to the University of Botswana for the following priority programmes:
1. POSTGRADUATE
Programme:
- MA Library and Information Studies
Minimum Qualifications: - 1st degree from a recognized institution relevant to the priority programme of study applied for
2. UNDERGRADUATE
Programmes:
- BSc Cytotechnology and Histotechnology
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery
- BSc in Real Estate
Minimum Qualifications: - A Level
- IB Diploma
- National Senior Certificate (NSC)/ Matric, Admissible into Bachelor’s Degree
- Completed 1st year BSc from NUL (Applicants are invited to note that anyone who has completed beyond 1st year will be required to repay at full cost all expenses disbursed at the time of contracting in Real Estate)
Application Requirements:
- Completed NMDS Loan Bursaries Application Form (available on the below provided link)
- Proof of application for a priority programme applied for
- Original and certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts (Qualifications from international – excluding institutions sponsored by NMDS, and private institutions should be evaluated)
- Original and certified copies of National ID and a valid passport
- CV
- Employer’s nomination letter for employed applicants with application for study leave or be ready to resign upon offer of the bursary where applicable. The letter must state duration of employment
- Proof of Loan Bursary repayment according to approved Loan Bursary Fund Repayment Criteria (for previously sponsored students)

All application documents should be hand delivered to NMDS Hall from 23rd April to 16th May 2025. Applications are only attended to at 11:00am.
