Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma in Financial Management or Certified Accounting Technician (CAT)
• Minimum of 1 year experience in audit or financial control
• Experience with hospitality software such as Semper or Opera
• Experience with accounting software will be an added advantage
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth reconciliation of all revenue streams including lodging, food & beverage, bar, and conferencing
• Provide efficient and professional Front Office services to guests
• Perform end-of-day accounting tasks and audit hotel financials, including verification of daily transactions and balancing of accounts
• Prepare and distribute daily revenue and occupancy reports for management
• Review and match all payment types (cash, card, EFT, accounts) with Semper POS and front office records
• Verify daily sales, refunds, discounts, and voided transactions for compliance with internal policies
• Generate and submit a Daily Financial Audit Report to Management by morning
• Ensure proper journal entries and ledger balancing in alignment with LHDA financial policies
• Monitor cash float and report variances immediately
• Ensure all night financial activities comply with audit policies and procedures
• Flag and report suspicious transactions, fraud indicators, or policy violations
• Maintain a proper audit trail for all financial documentation and transactions
• Assist with overnight check-ins/check-outs and in-house guest queries in a professional manner
• Review guest folios for accuracy, particularly for long-stay or group accounts
• Brief Front Office staff on outstanding balances, unpaid charges, or guest complaints
• Conduct room inventory and rate verification, ensuring room statuses are accurate
