Sustainable and inclusive Economic Growth (SIEG) and Covid-19 Response Projects

In line with the objectives of the NSDP II, UNDP is implementing the Sustainable and Inclusive Economic Growth (SIEG) project, aimed at strengthening capacities of private and public sector stakeholders to create decent and sustainable jobs, promoting economic diversity, and facilitating increased economic participation. Through this project, UNDP will also support the government of Lesotho to navigate the emerging socio-economic challenges brought about by COVID-19 and facilitate development of risk-informed response strategies.
On behalf of the Ministry of Development Planning, UNDP is looking for an economic policy expert to undertake the policy and sector mapping to inform SDGs and NSDP II implementation and national COVID-19 response and recovery plans. The assignment is aimed at establishing synergies and gaps in the national policy framework to enhance policy and institutional coherence and facilitate accelerated delivery of development programmes and recovery strategies.
