VACANCY: Part-Time Music Teacher

Machabeng College invites applications from passionate and qualified individuals for the position of Part-Time Music Teacher to join our dynamic Creative Arts Department. The successful candidate will teach Music to Lower School students (Secondary 1–3) and contribute to the growth of the performing arts within an international curriculum context.
Position: Music Teacher
Start Date: August 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate music lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
- Teach music theory and practical components including rhythm, pitch, and basic instrumental skills.
- Support student performances, events, and creative projects.
- Foster creativity and musical appreciation in a learner-centered environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Creative Arts Department to support cross-disciplinary projects.
Requirements:
- A recognized qualification in Music Education or equivalent.
- Experience teaching music to lower secondary level would be an added advantage
- Ability to play an instrument and lead vocal activities is essential.
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably international or Cambridge/IB, is an advantage.
- Strong communication, classroom management, and lesson planning skills.
