BACKGROUND
United Bible Societies (UBS) is a global fellowship of 155 Bible Societies working in over 240 countries and territories. Our mission is simple and compelling: to make the Bible accessible to everyone, in a language and format they can understand and afford.
Together, we are building an integrated global movement—rooted in local contexts but united by a shared vision—that spans Bible translation, production, distribution, and engagement.
To support this mission, the Global Mission Team (GMT) equips and strengthens our worldwide network of Bible Societies through strategic leadership and operational support. As we launch an ambitious five-year growth plan, we are expanding our communications capacity to amplify the UBS story globally and we are looking for passionate, creative individuals to join us on this journey.
JOB SUMMARY
United Bible Societies (UBS) is seeking a creative and mission-driven Multimedia Content Creator & Digital Storyteller to produce compelling digital content that brings our vision to life—making the Bible accessible to all. This role focuses on crafting high-quality multimedia content, including videos, graphics, social media posts, and written materials, to engage and inspire diverse audiences worldwide. The ideal candidate is a passionate storyteller with expertise in multimedia production and digital engagement, who will be responsible for creating content that enhances UBS’s online presence, strengthens our brand identity, and amplifies the impact of our mission. As part of a dynamic communications team, you will contribute to the development and execution of strategic communication initiatives, fostering meaningful connections and amplifying UBS’s impact worldwide.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Multimedia Content Creation & Production
- Develop and produce high-quality video, audio, and visual content for social media, websites, and campaigns.
- Film and edit compelling storytelling videos that highlight UBS projects, impact stories, and partnerships.
- Design visually appealing graphics, infographics, and promotional materials.
- Support the development of podcasts, animations, and other digital storytelling formats.
- Capture videography and photography at key events and peak moments, collaborating with the UBS Communications Team and Bible Societies to create and edit high-quality digital content for UBS’s platforms.
- Digital Engagement
- Create and manage content for UBS’s online presence, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and brand identity.
- Optimize content for different audiences and platforms.
- Work closely with the entire Communications Team to develop and deliver creative, high-impact digital assets that engage digital audiences and support wider communications objectives.
- Storytelling & External Communications
- Craft engaging blog posts, newsletters, and impact stories that reflect UBS’s mission and global work.
- Work with the communications team to develop messaging that strengthens UBS’s global brand and outreach efforts.
- Assist in scriptwriting and content planning for video and audio projects.
- Ideate and deliver creative, integrated digital storytelling that showcases the work of UBS to digital audiences.
- Develop new and innovative ways to communicate with a wide range of audiences in collaboration with the Bible Societies.
- Analytics & Content Optimization
- Monitor content performance using analytics tools and adjust strategies for maximum engagement.
Stay up to date with digital trends, best practices, and innovative storytelling techniques. - Contribute to strategic discussions across the Communications Team, playing an active role in shaping and delivering UBS’s communications strategy.
5. Event Coverage & Collaboration
- Capture high-quality photography and videography at key events and engagements.
- Work closely with the UBS Communications Team and global Bible Societies to develop impactful digital content.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure storytelling efforts align with UBS’s overall mission and communication goals.
PERSONAL QUALITIES AND COMPETENCIES
The successful candidate will have the following qualities and skills. In some cases, follow-up training will be offered by UBS, and the candidate is expected to be prepared to attend workshops or other learning events.

This role is crucial in ensuring that UBS’s mission and impact resonate effectively with French-speaking audiences and foster stronger connections within the global UBS community.
Essential Experiences and Skills:
- Proven experience in multimedia content production, including video filming/editing, photography, and graphic design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, or similar editing tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of SEO, social media strategies, and content marketing best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, multicultural environment.
Desirable Experiences and Skills:
- Experience in faith-based communications or nonprofit storytelling.
- Familiarity with video live streaming and podcast production.
- Basic knowledge of biblical content, translation work, and global mission communication.
