About the Organisation
Founded in Lesotho in 2015, Mosepele Foundation Development Forum (MFDF) is a local youth-led organisation with a presence in health facilities and communities across Lesotho and a membership of more than 5,000 young people.
MFDF actively engages young people as decision-makers and participants in the design, delivery, and monitoring of health and socio-economic services. Guided by the Lesotho National Youth Policy, the organisation represents Basotho youth on national platforms, including Lesotho Country Coordinating Mechanism (LCCM) meetings.
MFDF has successfully implemented a number of impactful projects, including:
- PEPFAR Community-Led Monitoring
- The Global Fund Her Voice Fund
- Global Fund for Children’s Mental Health
- Other youth-focused health and development initiatives

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer (1 Position)
Organisation: Mosepele Foundation Development Forum (MFDF)
Location: MFDF Head Office
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Chief Program Officer
Key Role Objective
To provide efficient and quality data management and evaluation services, support implementation of M&E plans, analyse programme data, generate reports, monitor indicators, and promote data-driven decision-making.
Key Performance Areas
Data Capturing, Verification, Quality Assurance and Processing
- Perform data quality assurance and implement quality control measures
- Conduct monthly data verification and reporting
- Ensure accurate and complete data capturing
- Safely store paper-based and electronic data
- Collaborate with programme teams to improve data quality and implementation
Monitoring and Evaluation Systems, Analysis and Reporting
- Compile and submit weekly and monthly reports
- Support programme teams with data analysis
- Assist staff with M&E system compliance
- Train teams on web-based M&E systems
- Develop and implement M&E policies, procedures, data flows, and work plans
Networking, Advocacy and Community Engagement
- Assist with stakeholder engagement and networking activities
- Represent the organisation externally
- Prepare reports and presentations for external stakeholders
Performance Management
- Delegate responsibilities to support programme success
- Supervise and motivate data management staff
- Conduct monthly performance reviews
- Provide data analysis during project review meetings
Personal Development
- Participate in training, workshops, and information sessions
- Remain informed on developments in HIV/AIDS, STIs, and related sectors
Organisational Responsibilities
- Promote positive behaviour change as a role model
- Attend staff meetings and organisational sessions
- Represent the organisation professionally
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- Applicants must possess:
- Strong planning and organisational abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Health Sciences, or a related field
- Monitoring and Evaluation qualification preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in project monitoring and evaluation
- Team management experience
- Experience in HIV/AIDS prevention and support programmes
- Computer literacy in:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience with databases and online systems (advantageous)
- Strong report-writing and communication skills
- Performance management and monitoring skills
