Maternal, Adolescent & Child Health Institute NPC, (MatCH) is a non-profit organization supporting public sector health services. MatCH implements donor funded projects to improve HIV and TB outcomes through providing technical assistance and direct service delivery support. MatCH Institute NPC is looking to fill the following Position under the APACE Grant.

Maternal, Adolescent & Child Health Institute NPC, (MatCH) seeks to appoint a Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator  to be based in Alfred Nzo District (Eastern Cape Province).

Employment Type:  I year fixed term contract (October 2020-30 September 2021)

Main purpose of the job
To coordinate, oversee quality data capturing, monitor and evaluate district performance data, including the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, data capturing supervision to assist in strengthening the monitoring and evaluation system.

Responsibilities:
Health facility field visits
Data Management & Reporting
Data Quality Assurance
Staff Management
District Data Review Meetings
Capacity Building
Participate in Research/Generation of Information Products
Self-management and performance ownership
Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12)
Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Public Health, Health Informatics, Social Sciences, Development, Health, or similar field required
Minimum work experience:

Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities:
Presentation skills and data visualization
Post Graduate Qualification in Information management, Monitoring & Evaluation, Data management or Information systems
Previous PEPFAR and/or HIV/TB project related M&E experience
Extensive knowledge and experience in the South African Public Health Information Management Systems (WebDHIS, TIER.Net, EDRWeb, SyNCH)
Sound knowledge and experience of data management and statistical analysis software (e.g. SPSS, STATA)
Training/ Facilitation experience on M&E related aspects
MER Framework development
Ability to handle a varied, busy and pressurized workload
Organized, thorough, attention to detail, quality and accurate approach to work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Above average computer skills, particularly in MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Word, and demonstrated ability to use other data analysis packages
Valid driver’s license, own vehicle
Must be willing to travel at short notice
