Mobile Registration Unit Operators (MRUOs)
Overview
The Independent Electoral Commission invites applications from suitably qualified Basotho Nationals for the temporary position of Mobile Registration Unit Operators (MRUOs) to support the registration of electors during the intensification of voter registration.
Job Description
Using the Mobile Registration Unit, the Mobile Registration Unit Operator will:
Registration Duties ✓ Register eligible electors by:
• Assisting in filling of registration forms
• Taking photographs of eligible electors
• Taking fingerprints
Data Verification ✓ Verify data by:
• Ensuring that registration forms are equal to the number of people registered in the Mobile Registration Unit
Data Management ✓ Transmit data from the MRS to the main server
✓ Update elector’s register by:
• Transferring electors
• Amending electors’ details
Additional Duties ✓ Display electors’ register and village lists
✓ Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Elections related to electoral activities
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum certificate in computers
Applicant Requirements
• Must be registered as an elector
• Must be willing to take appointment in any Constituency or District
• Must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years
