QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma IT/ ICT/ Informatics

• Network Infrastructure Performance Monitoring and support

• Experience working with PEPFAR USAID program

• TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

• Ability to work autonomously and prioritise own workload.

• Ability to deal sensitively with confidential matters.

• Excellent report writing skills.

• Ability to work as part of a team.

•KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Customer Relations

• Responsible for direct support of client facing

• Understand the user environment of customers, key business processes and functional requirements • Focus and maximise customer ownership of the 1st line support role on customer sites

Technical Support

• LAN and WAN support, ensuring end-to-end performance and stability • Server, hosting, backups and DR services

• Maximising risks of data loss and technical issues

Network implementation

• Infrastructure design requirements for networks (LAN/WAN), electrical system and people process and hardware design requirements

Communication

• Ensure that users are aware of new functionality, release dates and impacts

• Ensure managers are aware of new system development that impact programmes

Research

• Investigate and review the latest developments in technical solutions, software and hardware that will support solutions within REP

• Ensure that correct vendors and approaches to development use the latest industry standards

Vendor Management

• Ensure invoices are paid within a timely manner

• Ensure contracts are kept current and reviewed in a timely manner

• Keep abreast of any new technology vendors might bring into the market

• Review services provided to ensure they fit within current contract arrangements.
