We have an excellent opportunity for a Ministerial Meetings Adviser to work within our Secretary-General’s Office.

The Ministerial Meetings Adviser will provide support to the Office of the Secretary-General in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of Commonwealth Ministerial Meetings.   The post holder will work in close collaboration with the Secretary General’s Public Affairs Adviser and the Events and Protocol section in all aspects of Commonwealth Ministerial Meeting delivery, including the preparation of high-quality briefings. 

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need a relevant university degree or qualification, and ten years post qualification experience working in progressively senior events, protocol or public affairs roles ideally in a governmental or international organisation.

You will also need demonstrable experience of dealing confidently and effectively at the highest level of government and with international organisations, experience of preparing for and managing in-person, virtual and hybrid events in a governmental or international organisation setting, and detailed knowledge of diplomatic protocols.
