EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCE
• Blasting Certificate/ Rock Breaking Certificate
• 5 Years’ Experience in trackless machines in mining environment
• 5 Years’ Experience in Diamond and Open Pit Environment
• 3 Years’ Experience as Mining Foreman
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Sound Knowledge of application and capability of all relevant Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM)
• Sound Knowledge of Strata Control
• Knowledge of Open Pit Blasting
• Sound Knowledge of Mine Safety and Health Administration (MHSA)
• Ensure that subordinates are fully conversant with provisions of MHSA
• Ensure observation and enforcement of any COPs issues by mine or DMR responsible for discipline of all subordinates
• Assist in the control over the proper operation and running of machinery within area of responsibility
• Manage expenditure within area of control
• Take accountability for the achievement of strategic and operational objectives within own area of control
• Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained
• Provide appropriate resolution for tasks and deadlines not met
• Take ownership for driving own career development
• Function as a member of a project and co-ordinate project activities or provide input in terms of projects resource allocation
• Plan production schedule (with input from crew and planner)
• Assume responsibility for meeting mining and operational objectives
