PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Accountable for coordinating and integrating the overall daily operational mining control room of Fleet monitoring system, data collecting, report generation and deviation reporting. The operator is also responsible for the monitoring and deviation analyses of diesel consumption, report generation and communication to operational and supervisory staff

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCE
• COSC / LGCSE or equivalent NQF 4 qualification
• Tertiary qualification in mining or production systems related field will be an added advantage
• 3 years’ experience within a mining environment, specifically related to operational control and reporting systems

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Gathering and reviewing of data and information related to all mining production data
• Monitor and report deviations to normal mining and maintenance schedules
• Communicate equipment breakdowns and elevate significant deviations in a timely fashion
• Gather data and information and communicate effectively with plant control related to plant feed, and plant stability regarding blending and material requirements
• Analyse and interpret resources data and information
• Construct and generate relevant production reports
• Maintain and effectively utilize mining control systems
• Analyse production cycles, inefficiencies and generate accurate reports
• Maintain health, safety, security and housekeeping within the internal environment
• Conduct production activity and target achievement deviation analysis and reports accurately and timeously
• Conduct basic deviation analyses and RCA
• Conduct a continuous risk assessment in the workplace
• Acts as middleman during emergency situations and all critical events in the mining processes (i.e.: emergencies, blasting clearance etc
• Comply with Company Policies, Standards, Rules and Procedures
• Ensures all work procedures are carried out in accordance with safety standards and safety practices
• Provides key inputs in budgetary requirements in own area
• Manage expenditure within area of control
• Control schedules and resource utilization

• Previous exposure and use of Fleet and diesel management software i.e. AVA, AFS and relevant MS Office suite programmes
