Job Description & Purpose
The Mine Manager will lead the Mining Team in optimizing and extracting the ore body cost-effectively while ensuring full compliance with:
- Mine Health and Safety Act
- Minerals Act and its Regulations
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Mining Department and ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain labour stability, control turnover, and enforce discipline.
- Coach employees to improve performance and efficiency.
- Optimize the ore body in alignment with the Mine Planning and Exploitation Strategy.
- Oversee strategic, tactical, and operational planning for the mine.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or National Diploma in a relevant field.
- Valid Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competence.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Skills & Competencies Required
- Strong leadership and management capabilities.
- Effective communication (verbal and written).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
