PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
• The purpose of this position is to formulate production and extractive metallurgical operations to enhance diamond recovery effectiveness, plant availability and utilization and diamond value management performance.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCE
• B Eng Metallurgical Engineering
• 5 years’ Operational Experience in a Plant Operation Environment
• 3 Years’ Experience in a Managerial position
• Experience in Open Pit Diamond Mining will be an added advantage
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Development of functional strategy and management of the Metallurgical Plant function
• Provision of governance and assurance
• SHE and Safety Compliance
• Compile annual budget for area of responsibility
• Develop and implement monitoring systems and procedures to ensure all plant costs are minimized
