Introduction
Letšeng Diamonds (Pty) Ltd (“Letšeng”), a private company owned by Gem Diamonds Limited (“Gem”) (70%) and the Government of Lesotho (“GoL”) (30%) has insourced process function which consists of Plant Maintenance, Plant operation and Plant Procurement. As part of this insourcing, Letšeng is looking for suitable candidates for the position of METALLURGICAL LABORATORY OPERATOR
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for safe and secure process sampling, sample analysis and results capturing in accordance with the assay schedule of the metallurgical operations. The function of the metallurgical laboratory is important to ensure productivity and efficiency targets are met. This job function requires good attention to detail and basic mathematical and computer skills.
Desired Qualification, Experience, Skills & Competencies
COSC, a Diploma in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing or Chemical Engineering will be advantageous
2 year good work experience in diamond mine metallurgical laboratory
Basic metallurgical plant operating skills
Basic computer literacy and MS Office knowledge
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience with automated laboratory equipment
Good written reporting skills
Valid driver’s license
Not colour blind and free from vertigo
